Fox News – We Distort the News, You Subside
The headline reads, “After Bailouts, Stimulus Packages, Is It Time for a Federal Budget Diet? With the federal deficit widening from economic relief efforts, could no budget be better than a bigger budget?” It’s a mouth full; full of crap. ”Could no budget be better than a bigger budget,” isn’t even a serious question. The entire country would collapse if there was no budget for the entire year. A kindergartner could tell you that.
But thankfully, Fox news restates their rhetorical question, “would it be better to pass no bill at all and simply let the government reap the savings of continuing to operate at 2008 spending levels?” Good save, Fox news. I mean, that’s a big difference, “no budget,” compared to, “continuing to operate at 2008 spending levels.” But that’s not the best part of the article.
The best part is when Fox news tells us that,
Initially, the bill attracted bipartisan support, but most Republicans developed sticker shock in the wake of enactment of the $787 billion economic stimulus bill. (italics added for emphasis)
In what reality could anyone say there was ever any bipartisanship from the Republicans during the talks about the bill, before, during, after, or ever on anything that Democrats wanted to do? They never act in a bipartisan fashion. They are the party of “No” and the party of “If we don’t play by our rules,… then that’s just not fair!” The Republicans were never working with the Democratic Congress or Senate, and they sure as hell never supported the bill.
That’s Fox news for ya’. ’We distort the news, you subside,’ is their motto. They keep their viewers good and dumb, like sheep.

Oddly enough, it’s never mentioned that Obama’s annual budget proposals are far lower then Bush’s 2008 budget. Obama just isn’t hiding the budget figures like Bush did.
