Tea Bag Party, and After After Party: A Godless American’s Tax Day

2009 April 16

I couldn’t resist.

Going to one of the Tea Bag protests that took place yesterday seemed like a waste of time, but I wanted to see what was really going on.  What kind of people were going to these and supporting them?  Well, your lovable, huggable blogger, a Godless American, went to the Glendale, CA protest to see what he could find out.

First, business had to be taken care of, so we went to the protest in Glendale, CA to find out what kind of Right Wing Wackos we could find.  I was a little disappointed, but then we are in California, just outside of Los Angeles so your average Right Winger here is going to differ drastically from what you may find in the Midwest.

Once, that was over it was time to relax and discuss the day’s events and what we’d do if we had a ton of money.  Then it was off to 1881 to chat it up with some local Red Necks.  I had a blast, and I don’t think I pissed off a single person there.

I didn’t get the chance to do this at the Tea Bag Protest, but I sure wish I could have.  Another lesson for Right Wingers, don’t give the mic over to a Lefty because they’ll just bring up facts and figures that take away from all the hullabaloo Right Wingers seem to favor instead of reality.

Yes! It is non-partisan. The damn govment wants OUR money any way they can get it. More tea please.

By the way, I think your the one who got homeland security looking at ex-military as possible extremists!

Very funny. If you think I’m extremist then you need to get out more often. Secondly, I’m not violent.

It may be a non-partisan idea to tax and spend money, but I still prefer the way Democrats spend it more then I agree with the Republicans. Actually, the two don’t even compare. While the Dems put money into projects for people and humanity, Reps cut taxes for the rich, give money to the rich, and privatize everything they can. We’ve had a Republican agenda for eight years, more if you count the Newt years, and it has failed America. We are where we are today thanks to Republicans. Now let’s see how well the Democrats do. Clinton did a fabulous job of lowering the budget; he left us with a surplus. Can Obama do the same? We’ll see.
