I Love Kisses!

2009 July 24

Join the fun on the Great Nationwide Kiss-in on August 15, at 2pm at any of your local parks, public areas, or in front of a church of your choice.

The point?  Well, it appears that kissing between some people still makes a lot of other people completely crazy.  For example, what’s the difference between this picture

Two not-famous people smooching.

Two not-famous people smooching.

and this picture?

Venassa Hudgens and Zac Efron smooching.

If you said, the people in the second picture are famous, then you’re right!  Besides that, I don’t see any difference.  In both pictures there are couples sharing a loving kiss.  And what could be better than a kiss?  OK, lets keep it clean, folks.

So, join the fun, come out and play:

I’ll be damned if someone – citizen, neighbor, or the police – thinks they can tell me I can’t hold my boyfriend’s hand while walking down the street, or kiss him in public. And yes, I’ve been called “f*ggot” while kissing him on a street corner.

Enough is enough. It’s time we call these “peace officers” out. It’s time we showed them love can’t be stopped. It’s time for a nation-wide kiss-in.

And it’s important we do it in an organized, public, non-confrontational, but well-publicized manner. Which means, in front of Mormon Churches.

I’m calling on all people: not just gays, but ALL people to stage a “kiss-in” on Saturday, August 15, at 2:00 PM.

David Badash, one of the organizers, later changed his mind and now doesn’t want to exclude the Kiss-in to only Mormon churches or churches at all.

The LDS church is organized geographically, so there is probably a Mormon building in your city or town. Here is a useful tool for finding your nearest LDS chapel: https://maps.lds.org

The list of LDS temples is here: http://www.lds.org/temples/alphabetical/0,11202,1901-1,00.html

IMHO, if you do have an LDS temple nearby, that should be the first choice. If not, second choice should be a stake meeting house. Otherwise, simply locate the nearest ward building.
